Step
Check
- If paper is loaded, remove it.
- Ensure the following parts are removed.
- Start the printer in repair mode. Turn the power on while touching [Screen Center], and keep pressing until the mode select screen is displayed. Touch the center of the panel to start repair mode.
- Start the Service Program, and select Paper Eject Release Roller Belt Tension Check & Adjustment.
- Click the [Aging] button. The PF Driven Roller rotates 3 times.
Input the following information into the tensimeter.
Input item Settings value MASS 1.3 g/m WIDTH 6.0 mm SPAN 196 mm - Move the tensimeter measurement microphone (A) close to the position shown in the diagram below.

Place the measurement microphone (A) to within 5 mm of the CR Belt (B) without it touching the belt.
On the tensimeter, press the [MEASURE] button, and pluck the belt with tweezers or similar to measure the belt tension.
Caution / 注意
- When performing measurement, pluck the belt as gently as possible while still letting the tensimeter obtain a measurement.
- When plucking the belt, ensure that the measurement microphone and the Belt do not come into contact.
- Click the [Rotation] button. The PF Driven Roller rotates 90°.
- Repeat steps 7 through 9 three times, and measure the belt tension in 4 locations.
- Check that the average value is within the standard values.
- When the measured value is within the standard value: Finish adjustment
- When the measured value is outside the standard value: Go to "Adjustment" section
Adjustment
- Loosen the two screws (A).
- Turn the tension adjustment screw (B) to adjust the tension of the Paper Eject Release Roller Belt, and tighten the two screws loosened in step 1 to fix it.
- Rotate the PF gear about two turns and check that the belt is not installed tilted. If it is tilted, correct the belt position. If it is tilted, correct the belt position.
- Return to "Check", and measure again.
