Scanner Mechanism
CIS (Contact type Image Sensor) Type Sensor Scanner
- CIS means “Contact type Image Scanner”: the CCD sensor has the same length as the document width.
- The reflected light from the document comes directly into the CCD surface through a lens.
- A: Lamp
- B: Lens
- C: CCD (CCD contacts on the surface of a CIS board.)
- D: CIS module
- E: Document
- F: Document glass
- G: Motor
The CIS module consists of;
- A: Lamp
- B: Lens
- C: CCD (CCD contacts on the surface of a CIS board.)
Scans with three CIS sensors.
After the scanning operation starts, the sub-scanning total magnification correction value is calculated, and the endurance deterioration correction value is calculated.
Detect paper tilt/width, and feed paper from paper standby position to scan CIS sensor.
Scan the target image with 3 CIS sensors.
Carry out paper transport until the target scan operation is completed, and then end.
