# ASF Gears

1. Release the 6 locks (A), and remove the 6 Ink Pack Trays (B). (Only perform for SC-P8500DL series/SC-T7700DL series)
   

2. Open the Maintenance Cover (A). (Only perform for SC-P8500DL series/SC-T7700DL series)

   

3. Remove the screw. (Only perform for SC-P8500DL series/SC-T7700DL series)
   
   
   • :Black M3x8 S-tite screw

4. Release the hook, and remove the Ink Holder (RIPS) Upper Cover (A). (Only perform for SC-P8500DL series/SC-T7700DL series)
   

   Assembly / 組み立て

   Insert the Ink Holder (RIPS) Upper Cover (A) tab (B). Insert the Ink Holder (RIPS) Upper Cover (A) hook (C).

5. Remove the two screws, and remove the USB cable (A). (Only perform for SC-P8500DL series/SC-T7700DL series)
   

   • : Silver M3x8 P-tite screw

6. Remove the two screws. (Only perform for SC-P8500DL series/SC-T7700DL series)
   

   • : Silver M3x8 S-tite screw
7. Pull the Ink Pack Tray Right Side (A) slightly forward and release the 2 dowels. (Only perform for SC-P8500DL series/SC-T7700DL series)

8. Slide the Ink Pack Tray Right Side (A) upwards to remove. (Only perform for SC-P8500DL series/SC-T7700DL series)
   

   Assembly / 組み立て

   The gray lock lever (A) and ink plate (B) will come off when removing the Ink Pack Tray Right Side (C). Install them after installing the Ink Pack Tray Right Side (C) in the main unit. With the lock lever (A) and tray lever (B) moved to the right side, install the Ink Pack Tray Right Side (C). After installing the Ink Pack Tray Right Side (A), move the lock lever (B) and confirm that the tray lever (C) moves in conjunction.

9. Open the Maintenance Box Cover (A).
   
10. Release the 2 tabs of the Maintenance Box Cover (A) in the order shown in the figure below, and remove.
    
11. Remove the Maintenance Box (A).
    
12. Remove the screw.

13. Insert a flathead screwdriver and release the 2 hooks each, and remove the two screw cover (A).
    
14. Insert a flathead screwdriver and release the 2 hooks, and remove the screw cover (A).
    
15. Remove the three screws at the front side.
    
    • : Black M3x8 Cup P-tite screw
16. Remove the five screws at the right side.
    
    • : Silver M3x8 Cup S-tite screw
    • : Silver M4x8 Cup S-tite screw
17. Remove the four screws at the rear side.
    
    • : Silver M3x8 Cup S-tite screw with plastic washer
    • : Silver M3x8 Cup S-tite screw
18. On the printer rear side, release the dowel of the Home Side Cover Unit (A).
    
19. Insert a flathead screwdriver and release the 2 tabs each, and remove the Home Side Cover Unit (A) in the direction of the arrow.
    
20. Open the IH Cover Unit (A). (Only perform for SC-P8500DL series/SC-T7700DL series)
    
21. Slide the Ink Pack Tray Left Side (A) upwards and release the 3 hooks to remove. (Only perform for SC-P8500DL series/SC-T7700DL series)
    
22. Open the Ink Cartridge Cover (A). (Only perform for SC-P8500D series/SC-T7700D series/SC-T5700D series/SC-P6500D series/SC-P6500DE series/SC-T3700D series/SC-T3700DE series/SC-P6500E series/SC-T3700E series/SC-P8500DM series/SC-T7700DM series/SC-T5700DM series)
    
23. Remove the two screws.
24. Release the 2 hooks and then remove the Take-up Button Board Cover (A).
    
    • : Black M3x10 Cup P-tite screw (SC-P8500D series/SC-T7700D series/SC-T5700D series/SC-P6500D series/SC-P6500DE series/SC-T3700D series/SC-T3700DE series/SC-P6500E series/SC-T3700E series/SC-P8500DM series/SC-T7700DM series/SC-T5700DM series only)
    • : Black M3x10 Cup P-tite screw (SC-P8500D series/SC-T7700D series/SC-T5700D series/SC-P6500D series/SC-P6500DE series/SC-T3700D series/SC-T3700DE series/SC-P6500E series/SC-T3700E series/SC-P8500DM series/SC-T7700DM series/SC-T5700DM series)
    • :Black M3x6 Cup S-tite screw (SC-P8500DL series/SC-T7700DL series)
25. Remove the cable (A) from the connector.
    
26. Open the Ink Cartridge Cover (A). (Only perform for SC-P8500D series/SC-T7700D series/SC-T5700D series/SC-P6500D series/SC-P6500DE series/SC-T3700D series/SC-T3700DE series/SC-P6500E series/SC-T3700E series/SC-P8500DM series/SC-T7700DM series/SC-T5700DM series)
    
27. Remove the two screws.
28. Release the 2 hooks and then remove the Roll Removal Board Cover (A).
    
    • : Black M3x10 Cup P-tite screw (SC-P8500D series/SC-T7700D series/SC-T5700D series/SC-P6500D series/SC-P6500DE series/SC-T3700D series/SC-T3700DE series/SC-P6500E series/SC-T3700E series/SC-P8500DM series/SC-T7700DM series/SC-T5700DM series)
    • :Black M3x6 Cup S-tite screw (SC-P8500DL series/SC-T7700DL series)
29. Remove the cable (A) from the connector.
    

30. Remove the two screws, and remove the Maintenance Cover (A).

31. Remove the cable (B) from the relay connector (A).
32. Release the cable (B) from three clamps.
    
    

    Assemble / 組み立て

    Push the two dowels (A) of the Maintenance Cover (A) in the positioning holes of the case.

33. Open the IH Cover Unit (A).
34. Release the Storage Housing (B) tab, and fully open the IH Cover Unit (A).
    
35. Remove the IH Cover Unit (A) upward.
    
36. Detach the Ink Ink Cartridge Cover (A) from the three shafts. (Only perform for SC-P8500D series/SC-T7700D series/SC-T5700D series/SC-P6500D series/SC-P6500DE series/SC-T3700D series/SC-T3700DE series/SC-P6500E series/SC-T3700E series/SC-P8500DM series/SC-T7700DM series/SC-T5700DM series)
    
37. Remove the six screws. (Only perform for SC-P8500D series/SC-T7700D series/SC-T5700D series/SC-P6500D series/SC-P6500DE series/SC-T3700D series/SC-T3700DE series/SC-P6500E series/SC-T3700E series/SC-P8500DM series/SC-T7700DM series/SC-T5700DM series)

38. Release the dowel of the Ink Holder Housing (A), and remove it frontward. (Only perform for SC-P8500D series/SC-T7700D series/SC-T5700D series/SC-P6500D series/SC-P6500DE series/SC-T3700D series/SC-T3700DE series/SC-P6500E series/SC-T3700E series/SC-P8500DM series/SC-T7700DM series/SC-T5700DM series)

    

    Caution / 注意

    Carefully remove the Ink Holder Housing not to pull the cables connected to the cover.

    Assemble / 組み立て

    When removing the Ink Holder Housing (C) to remove another part or component, remove the sensor (B) from the relay connector (A), and then place the cover beside the printer. If the ink tube (A) is detached from the hook of the Ink Bifurcated Flow Channel Unit (B), set the tube properly, or ink may not be supplied to the ink tube, resulting in print failure.

39. Remove the two screws , and remove the USB cable (A). (Only perform for SC-P8500D series/SC-T7700D series/SC-T5700D series/SC-P6500D series/SC-P6500DE series/SC-T3700D series/SC-T3700DE series/SC-P6500E series/SC-T3700E series)

40. Disengage the sensor (B) from the two hooks. (Only perform for SC-P8500D series/SC-T7700D series/SC-T5700D series/SC-P6500D series/SC-P6500DE series/SC-T3700D series/SC-T3700DE series/SC-P6500E series/SC-T3700E series)

41. Open the Front Cover (A). (Only perform for SC-P6550E series/SC-T3750E series)
    
42. Release the dowels of the Front Cover (A) in the order shown in the figure below, and remove. (Only perform for SC-P6550E series/SC-T3750E series)
    
43. Remove the four screw, and remove the Rear Cover (A). (Only perform for SC-P6550E series/SC-T3750E series)

44. Remove the 2 screws and remove the Left Cover (A) in the direction of the arrow. (Only perform for SC-P6550E series/SC-T3750E series)

45. Remove the 2 screws and remove the Right Cover (A). (Only perform for SC-P6550E series/SC-T3750E series)

46. Pull out the Lower Spindle Holder (A).
47. Pull out the Inner Home Side Lower Cover (B) to the front to remove.

48. Remove the screw.

49. Raise the paper guide (A), and remove the screw.

50. Pull out the Paper Basket Unit (A).
51. Pull out the Inner Home Side Upper Cover (B) to the front to remove.
    
52. Pull out the Lower Spindle Holder (A).
53. Remove the 5 screws.

54. Raise the paper support (A), and remove the screw.

55. Pull out the Inner Full Side Cover (A) to the front to remove.
    

56. Remove the two screws and remove the Home Side 1st Roll Paper Guide (A).

62. Remove the two screws, and remove the ASF Motor Unit (C).

65. Open the Rear Cover (A).
66. Release the hook while sliding the Housing Rear Home Middle Cover (A) upward, and remove it.

68. Release the two hooks of the Housing Rear Lower 1 (A) while sliding it upward, and remove it.

69. Remove the screw.
70. Release the two hooks of the Housing Rear Lower 2 (A) while sliding it upward, and remove it.

71. Remove the screw.

74. Open the Rear Cover (A).
75. Release the hook while sliding the Housing Rear Full Middle Cover (A) upward, and remove it.

77. Release the two hooks of the Housing Rear Lower 4 (A) while sliding it upward, and remove it.

78. Remove the two screws and remove the Home Side Lower Roll Paper Guide Parts (A).

79. Remove the two screws and remove the Roll Paper Guide Upper Right (A). (SC-P8500D series/SC-T7700D series/SC-T5700D series only)

80. Remove the two screws and remove the Roll Paper Guide Upper Left (A).
    
    • : Black M3x10 Cup P-tite screw
81. Remove the screw and then remove the Sensor Cover (A).

82. Remove the two screws and remove the Roll Paper Guide Rear A (A) downward.

83. Remove the screw and remove the Roll Paper Guide Rear B (A) downward.

    Assemble / 組み立て

    Insert the rib of the Roll Paper Guide Rear B (A) into the positioning hole of the Roll Paper Guide Rear D (B).

84. Remove the screw and remove the Roll Paper Guide Rear C (A) downward.

    Assemble / 組み立て

    Set the rib (B) of the Roll Paper Guide Rear C (A) to the front of the frame. Otherwise, a rubbing mark with Paper Guide Rear Part C will be left on the back side of the media.

85. Release the cable from the 2 clamps.
    
86. Remove the four screws.

87. Release the dowel (B) of the bush (A). Remove the bush while rotating.
    

88. Remove the shaft (B) of the 1st Roll Unit (A) and then remove the 1st Roll Unit.
    

    Assemble / 組み立て

    Pull the cable (A) of the 1st Roll Unit to the front of the frame (B).

89. Remove the three screws and remove the frame (A). (SC-P6550E series/SC-T3750E series skip this step)

90. Remove the screw and remove the holder (A).
91. Remove the plastic washer using the long-nose pliers, and then remove the Gear 1 (C).

92. Remove the Gear 2 (A) and Gear 3 (B).
    
93. Remove the plastic washer (A) using the long-nose pliers.
94. Remove the Gear 4 (B) and Gear 5 (C). (SC-P6550E series/SC-T3750E series skip this step)
    
95. Remove the screw and remove the holder (A). (SC-P6550E series/SC-T3750E series skip this step)
96. Remove the plastic washer using the long-nose pliers, and then remove the Gear 6 (C). (SC-P6550E series/SC-T3750E series skip this step)
