SUB PF Encoder Sensor Harness


  1. Insert a flathead screwdriver and release the two hooks, and remove the screw cover (A).
  2. Open the Printer Cover (A) and the Cutter Cover (B).
  3. Remove the three screws at the front side.
    • : Silver M3x10 Cup P-tite screw
    • : Silver M3x8 Cup S-tite screw
  4. Remove the screw at the top side.
    • : Silver M3x8 Cup S-tite screw
  5. Remove the four screws at the rear side.
    • : Silver M3x8 Cup S-tite screw with plastic washer
    • : Silver M3x8 Cup S-tite screw
  6. Remove the four screws at the left side.
    • : Silver M3x8 Cup S-tite screw

  7. On the printer rear side, release the dowel of the Full Side Cover Unit (A).

  8. Remove the Full Side Cover Unit (A) from the dowels, and remove it while it in the direction of the arrow.

    Assemble / 組み立て

    When installing the Full Side Cover Unit (B), carefully the Head FFC (A) so that it does not damage.
  9. Remove the spring (sub PF) (A).
  10. Loosen the two screws to loosen the Sub PF Belt (B).

  11. Detach the Sub PF Belt (B) from the pinion gear (C) of the Sub PF Motor, and remove the Sub PF Belt (B).

    • : Silver M4x8 Cup S-tite screw

    Assemble / 組み立て

    To strain the Sub PF Belt properly, follow the procedure below to attach the belt.

    1. Attach the Sub PF Belt.
    2. Attach the spring (Sub PF).
    3. Tighten the two screws.
    Adjustment / 調整

    Refer to the following to perform adjustments.
  12. Remove the 2 screws, and then remove the Sub PF Scale Encoder Unit (A).
    • : Silver M3x8 Cup S-tite screw
  13. Remove the screw.
  14. Release the FFC (A) from the tab.
    • : Silver M2x6 P-tite screw
  15. Remove the hook and the rear 2 dowels, and remove the Sub PF Scale Encoder (A).

  16. Remove the FFC (B) from the Sub PF Scale Encoder connector (A), and remove the Sub PF Scale Encoder (C).

    Assemble / 組み立て

    Route the FFC around so that it does not rise up. If the FFC rises up, it may contact the PF Belt during printer operation, causing the FFC to break.
    Adjustment / 調整

    Refer to the following to perform adjustments.
  17. Remove the seven screws and then remove the CH83 Main-B Board Cover (A).
    • : Silver M3x8 Cup S-tite screw
    Assemble / 組み立て

    Take care that the cables do not get pinched.


  18. Disconnect the SUB PF Encoder Sensor Harness from the connector (CN73) on the CH83 Main-B Circuit Board.
  19. Peel off the SUB PF Encoder Sensor Harness.
