Color or print density unevenness within a page or across pages.

Suspected cause
  • Ink in ink cartridge is not agitated enough

  • Deterioration of ink quality

  • Uneven density when switching heads used for printing

  • Density unevenness in the difference between heads 1 and 2 caused by high-precision ID adjustment failure of the Print Head

  • PG adjustment failure

  • Flange clogged with paper dust

  • Flange failure (flange could not withstand the slack take-up operation, resulting in folding, etc.)

Parts/Components to be checked
  1. Ink Cartridges

  2. Print Head

  3. Spindle

6

In Printer Driver Settings, [Advanced Quality Settings] of printer driver, select and set [Optimize Leading Edge Quality] or [Optimize All Edge Image Quality] for [Optimize Edge Quality].

*[Optimize Leading Edge Quality]: All are in 2 head mode, so this prints with no difference from normal print speed, but the leading edge margin is larger than normal.

*[Optimize All Edge Image Quality]: All are in 1 head mode, so the printing speed is lower than normal.

Reinstall the roll paper onto the spindle.

  • If this does not improve even after reinstallation, then replace the spindle.
