To combat this multi-faceted and very real threat, Epson Australia has implemented the Genuine Gold Seal Program for distributors of Epson products. Distributors participating in the program agree to purchase Epson consumables directly and solely from Epson Australia, thereby becoming eligible to use the Epson Genuine Gold Seal.
Already, a number of distributors have signed up as Epson Genuine Gold Seal partners, demonstrating their three-fold commitment: 1) to their resellers, 2) to Epson Australia, and 3) to users of Epson products. The names of these distributors are published on the Epson Reseller Website 
(www.channel.Epson.com.au) and included in advertisements within targeted media.
A counterfeit consumable may look exactly like the original product. But that’s as far as it goes!
Inferior inks used in counterfeit cartridges can easily damage your customers’ printers and confidence. A direct consequence is the potential to severely restrict the revenue flow to your business through lower sales of Epson hardware and consumables. This negative business impact is further compounded by a reduction in margins, as dealers across the market slash retail prices to compete. Ultimately, for the dealers, it’s a no-win situation.
Will the use of counterfeit inks void the customer's warranty?
Definitely. The use of counterfeit inks carry exactly the same risks as those associated with many third-party inks. If any of your customers experience printer problems proven to result from the use of counterfeit inks, their product warranty with respect to that fault is immediately voided. |
Can counterfeit inks also have the Epson hologram sticker?
